Short-Term Energy Outlook Notice

Released: October 26, 2022

Notice: We reposted the October Winter Fuels Outlook on October 26, 2022, to correct a data table showing our heating oil expenditure forecast. We originally posted the Winter Fuels Outlook on October 12, 2022. The corrected table displays a 40% increase in the 10% colder scenario and a 15% increase in the 10% warmer scenario for heating oil expenditures. The original table incorrectly displayed a 37% increase in the 10% colder scenario and a 12% increase in the 10% warmer scenario for heating oil expenditures.

Released: October 13, 2022

Notice: We reposted the October Winter Fuels Outlook on October 13, 2022, to correct a sentence about our propane prices forecast from the original posting on October 12, 2022. The corrected sentence reads: “In the South, we expect households to spend 4% more than last winter (an average of about $1,510 per household), reflecting an average 7% increase in consumption offset by a 3% decrease in propane prices.” The original sentence incorrectly stated consumption would be offset by a 3% increase instead of a 3% decrease in propane prices.
