The Electric Power Annual 2016 (EPA 2016) report is now available with final data through 2016. The 2016 EPA presents 11 years (2006–16) of national-level data on electricity generating capacity, electricity generation and useful thermal output, fuel receipts, consumption, and emissions.
Natural Gas Monthly
Dec 1, 2017
In September 2017, for the fourth consecutive month, dry natural gas production increased year-to-year from the same month a year ago. The preliminary level for dry natural gas production in September 2017 was 2,250 billion cubic feet (Bcf), or 75.0 Bcf/day. This level was 3.1 Bcf/day (4.3%) higher than the September 2016 level of 71.9 Bcf/day. Dry natural gas production for September was the highest for the month since EIA began tracking monthly dry production in 1973.
Petroleum Marketing Monthly
Dec 1, 2017
The December 2017 Petroleum Marketing Monthly (PMM), with data through September 2017, presents monthly and annual price and volume statistics covering crude oil and refined products sales in the United States. In this edition of the PMM, preliminary monthly average price data show prices for crude oil and most petroleum products continued to rise in September. U.S.–level Prime Supplier data show mixed trends for sales of the major refined products, with gasoline and No. 2 distillates trending downwards from August levels, while kerosene-type jet fuel, propane, and residual fuel sales increased month-on-month.

This report, the second of four Issues in Focus articles from the International Energy Outlook 2017 (IEO2017), discusses the economic developments in India and China and compares results from separate runs of EIA’s World Energy Projection System Plus (WEPS+) model to the projections in the IEO2017. These results help quantify some of the uncertainty associated with the effects that differences in long-term economic growth in China and India may have on international energy markets.
Brazil Country Analysis Brief
Nov 21, 2017
Brazil is a significant energy producer. In 2016, Brazil produced 3.24 million barrels per day (b/d) of petroleum and other liquids, making it the world's ninth-largest producer and the third-largest in the Americas behind the United States and Canada. Increasing domestic oil production has been a long-term goal of the Brazilian government, and discoveries of large, offshore, pre-salt oil deposits have transformed Brazil into a top-10 liquid fuels producer.
