Michael Corriere was appointed as the Assistant Administrator (AA) for Resources and Technology Management in June 2018.

As the AA for Resources and Technology Management, Michael is responsible for leading and directing all of EIA's mission support functions, including workforce recruitment and development, IT infrastructure and security, financial and contract administration, stakeholder outreach and communications, and a range of logistical support activities. The AA for Resources and Technology Management also integrates EIA's long-term planning activities across administrative and program functions and serves as the agency's senior representative on crosscutting departmental committees and forums.


Before his appointment as AA for Resources and Technology Management, Michael served as the Deputy Director of the Center for Behavioral Health Statistics and Quality at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, which is the lead federal agency for behavioral health data and research. In this role, Michael provided operational leadership for all center program activities, including data collection, data analysis, data dissemination, and research activities.

Michael previously served at the National Institutes of Health, where he was the Chief of the Management Services at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). At NHLBI, he provided leadership for management analysis, project management, and workforce development activities. Before serving at NHLBI, he served as an operations research analyst at the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). At NNSA, Michael was the lead cost estimator for NNSA projects and a subject matter expert for cost estimating, life-cycle cost analysis, cost modeling, and risk management. Before his civilian federal service, Michael served for more than 23 years in progressively more complex leadership roles as an officer in the United States Navy.

Michael has held a variety of professional certifications, including the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. Michael received his PhD in Public Administration from American University; an MS in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School; an MBA in Financial Management and Human Resources Management from the University of New Mexico; and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
