Challenges in Modeling International Climate Policies Workshop
June 29, 2022
About the workshop
The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) held a workshop on the modeling of international climate policies on June 29, 2022. This workshop brought together both industry representatives and modeling practitioners to explore market forces faced by corporations in a carbon-constrained world, as well as the methods external analysts use when modeling international climate policies. We gained insights which we will use to improve our modeling of climate policies in the International Energy Outlook, which is developed with the World Energy Projection System (WEPS) model.
