May 13, 2024 The Drilling Productivity Report has been updated with the latest charts and methodology. This report uses recent data on the total number of drilling rigs in operation along with estimates of drilling productivity and estimated changes in production from existing oil and natural gas wells to provide estimated changes in oil and natural gas production for seven key regions.
May 13, 2024 First quarter 2024 update of uranium production in the United States and operating status of U.S. uranium mills and plants.
May 10, 2024 Annual state-level estimates of consumption for total renewable energy through 2022.
May 7, 2024 Global oil prices. We expect voluntary OPEC+ crude oil production cuts and ongoing geopolitical risks will keep the Brent crude oil spot price near $90 per barrel (b) for the remainder of 2024 before falling to an average of $85/b in 2025 as global oil production growth picks up.
May 3, 2024 Annual state-level estimates of consumption, prices, and expenditures for wood and biomass waste through 2022.
May 2, 2024 This site contains spreadsheets with wholesale electricity and natural gas data from seven major trading hubs that cover most regions of the United States. The data are through April 30, 2024, republished, with permission, from the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).
May 1, 2024 The May 2024 Petroleum Marketing Monthly (PMM), with data through February 2024 presents monthly and annual price and volume statistics for crude oil sales in the United States.
Apr 30, 2024 Imports data at the company level collected from Form EIA-814, Monthly Imports Report.
Apr 30, 2024 This report contains monthly summary data for the photovoltaic industry in the United States. Data include manufacturing, imports, and exports of modules in the United States and its territories. Summary data include volumes in peak kilowatts and average prices. Where possible, imports and exports are listed by country, and shipments to the United States are listed by state.
Apr 30, 2024 The U.S. Energy Information Administration release showing national monthly biofuels operable production capacity.
Apr 30, 2024 Supply and disposition of crude oil and petroleum products on a national and regional level. The data describe production, imports and exports, movements, and inventories.
Apr 30, 2024 In February 2024, dry natural gas production increased year over year for the month for the 34th consecutive month. Preliminary dry natural gas production in February 2024 was 3,064 billion cubic feet (Bcf), or 105.7 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d). Production was 3.6% (3.7 Bcf/d) higher in February 2024 than in February 2023 (102.0 Bcf/d) and the highest for the month since 1973, when we began tracking dry natural gas production. Gross withdrawals also increased from February 2023
Apr 30, 2024 This annual report calculates underground natural gas storage capacity as of November 2023 and explains how changes in storage capacity relate to market circumstances. Natural gas storage capacity increased in 2023 compared with 2022, by about 3%, according to the demonstrated peak capacity metric used to assess working natural gas storage capacity, and design capacity was essentially unchanged since 2022.
Apr 30, 2024 These monthly production estimates are based on data from Form EIA-914, Monthly Crude Oil, Lease Condensate, and Natural Gas Production Report.
Apr 30, 2024 Monthly data on rail movements of crude oil have been updated for February 2024. Crude oil movements by rail have significantly increased during the past five years. The data on crude-by-rail (CBR) movements are also fully integrated with EIA’s existing monthly petroleum supply statistics, which already include crude oil movements by pipeline, tanker, and barge.
Apr 29, 2024 According to its U.S. Crude Oil and Natural Gas Proved Reserves, Year-End 2022 report, EIA states that proved reserves of crude oil and lease condensate increased by 8.8%, and proved natural gas reserves increased 10.5%, establishing record highs for the United States in 2022.
Apr 29, 2024 Russia was the world’s second-highest dry natural gas producer and exporter, the third-highest crude oil and condensate producer, and the third-highest coal exporter in 2022. After Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine that same year, G7 economies, the EU, and other countries, began imposing sanctions including targeted measures on Russia’s energy sector. These sanctions expedited a shift in Russia’s trade toward Asia, relying more heavily on seaborne shipments because of limited eastbound rail and pipeline infrastructure. The Russian government is prioritizing liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure development, to better reach markets not readily accessible via pipeline, despite sanctions related to LNG technology and financing.
Apr 26, 2024 Five energy flow diagrams with data for 2023 show U.S. production and consumption of total energy, petroleum, natural gas, coal, and electricity. Five charts with U.S. energy consumption by source and sector show the distribution, by both energy source and sector, of total energy, petroleum products, fossil fuels, renewable energy, and CO2 emissions in 2023.
Apr 25, 2024 According to our recently released report on 2023 energy-related CO2 emissions, U.S. CO2 emissions from the consumption of fossil fuels totaled 4,807 million metric tons (MMmt) in 2023, a decrease of 3% (134 MMmt) from 2022. These emissions changes occur mostly in the electric power sector, as natural gas and solar power displaced coal-fired electricity generation, with smaller reductions observed from the residential and commercial sectors associated with relatively mild winter and summer weather. This analysis is based on preliminary 2023 data from our Monthly Energy Review.
Apr 25, 2024 The Monthly Energy Review is our comprehensive report on recent and historical energy statistics. According to our April 2024 report, preliminary estimates indicate that total U.S. residential energy consumption equaled 2.4 quadrillion British thermal units in January 2024, a 12% increase from January 2023.
Apr 24, 2024 Data in the April 2024 Electric Power Monthly (EPM) are for February 2024, when net generation in the United States increased 3.6% from February 2023. Consumption of natural gas for power generation was up 5.0% compared with the previous year. The average residential retail price of electricity was up 0.8% from February 2023.
Apr 24, 2024 This month’s Electric Monthly Update contains data for November 2022 and a feature article about how average residential monthly electricity expenditures increased in both nominal and real terms from 2021 to 2022.
Apr 19, 2024 Annual state-level estimates of consumption, prices, and expenditures for total petroleum products through 2022.
