This spreadsheet contains detailed information on liquids pipeline projects (crude oil, petroleum products, and hydrocarbon gas liquids). We do not collect the data on an EIA survey, but rather we compile the data from various sources including trade press, pipeline company websites, and government agencies. These data are not a forecast. They represent last-known public information on projects, as of June 30, 2026. The status of each project is categorized as completed (since 2010), announced, under construction, on hold, or canceled.

Global oil market assumptions. We have increased our estimates of Middle East shut-in crude oil production in the coming months compared with our July forecast due to continued severe constraints on Strait of Hormuz transits, which we assume persist through August. We expect most crude oil production in the region to return to near pre-conflict averages in early 2027; however, we expect ongoing disruptions of about 0.6 million barrels per day to continue through the end of next year.

The Monthly Energy Review is our comprehensive report on recent and historical energy statistics. According to our July 2026 report, preliminary estimates indicate that U.S. total primary energy consumption equaled 7.3 quadrillion British thermal units in April 2026, which was virtually unchanged from April 2025. Primary energy consumption in the transportation and electric power sectors each accounted for 32% of the total, the industrial sector accounted for 25%, the residential sector for 6%, and the commercial sector for 5%.
