The Fuel Oil and Kerosene Sales, 2005 report provides information, illustrations and State-level statistical data on end-use sales of kerosene; No.1, No. 2, and No. 4 distillate fuel oil; and residual fuel oil. State-level kerosene sales include volumes for residential, commercial, industrial, farm, and all other uses. State-level distillate sales include volumes for residential, commercial, industrial, oil company, railroad, vessel bunkering, military, electric utility, farm, on-highway, off highway construction, and other uses. Early Release of the Reference Case from the Annual Energy Outlook 2007

The AEO2007 presents long-term projections of energy supply, demand, and prices through 2030, which are based on results from EIAs National Energy Modeling System (NEMS). The AEO2007 Early Release only includes the reference case. The full publication, including complete documentation and over 30 additional cases examining energy markets will be released early 2007.
CBECS Public Use Microdata Files

The 2003 CBECS public use microdata files for all buildings including malls are now available. Earlier releases did not contain information for malls.
The data are found in comma separated value (.csv) files that each contain 5,215 records. They represent commercial buildings from the 50 States and the District of Columbia. Each record corresponds to a single responding, in-scope sampled building and contains information for that building such as the building size, year constructed, types of energy used, energy-using equipment, conservation features and energy consumption and expenditures. The smallest level of geographic detail available is the Census division, of which there are nine in the U.S. No state level data are available.
2003 CBECS Detailed Tables

The 2003 Commercial Buildings Energy Consumption Survey (CBECS)has released the final set of Detailed Tables for the 38 new tables contain consumption and expenditures data for all buildings including malls (the first release of consumption and expenditures data did not include malls). The information includes consumption of and expenditures for electricity, natural gas, fuel oil, and district heat in commercial buildings in the U.S. in 2003.

Advance Tables from Performance Profiles of Major Energy Companies 2005

Today the Energy Information Administration released advance copies of the supplemental tables that support the Performance Profiles of Major Energy Producers analyses for 2005. The tables consist of financial and operating
statistics of the major U.S. energy companies that report to the Financial Reporting System (FRS). The full Performance Profiles report will be available towards the end of December.

EIA-176 Query System 2005

The EIA-176 Query system is a Windows-based system which runs under Windows operating systems 95, 98, 2000, NT - 4.0 Service Pack 3 or later. It provides a method of extracting and using the company level data filed on the Form EIA-176, and saving the query results in various media and formats.

Today the Energy Information Administration released the Financial News for Independent Energy Companies 3nd Quarter 2006. The report reviews recent trends in the financial performance of independent energy companies, which are typically smaller than the majors and do not have integrated production/refining operations.
Independent oil and natural gas producers, oil field service companies had significant increases in earnings over the year-ago quarter, while refiner/marketers experienced moderate growth . The next update, for October through December 2006, will be released in February 2007.
Monthly Flash Estimate (MFE)

The November, 2006 issue of the Monthly Flash Estimate (MFE) of Electric Power Data is now available on EIA¿s Electricity Publications page. MFE provides an early look at the highlights of the upcoming Electric Power Monthly publication and presents tables of electricity generation, fuel consumption for generation, fossil fuel stocks, and average retail sales and prices of electricity. MFE precedes the next issue of EPM by three weeks. The current issue covers an early review of the September, 2006 electricity data. Residential Natural Gas Prices: What Consumers Should Know

This brochure provides information for residential natural gas customers, such as where natural gas comes from and what consumers pay for in their natural gas bills. Additionally, there is a discussion of factors that have been a key influence on natural gas prices in 2006. An overview of EIA¿s Short-Term Energy Outlook that was released on October 10, 2006 is provided. Although natural gas bills are expected to decline on average this winter, they remain relatively high. The brochure concludes with some information on what residential customers might do to cope with or reduce their natural gas bills.
Monthly Cost and Quality of Fuels Database Released

The final 2005 database for the Form EIA-423, "Cost and Quality of Fuels for Electric Plants Report," is now available on EIA's Electricity page. The data file contains data on monthly deliveries of fossil fuels to nonutility generating facilities. Included are the specific energy source, quantity of fuel delivered, the Btu content, sulfur content, ash content, coal state and county of origin, coal mine type (surface/underground), as well as the supplier of fuel. Fuel cost data collected on this survey will not be made available to the public due to it being classified as confidential. The datafile includes facilities with a fossil-fueled nameplate generating capacity of 50 or more megawatts.
