Instead of the "stovepipe" model previously used, in which reports were mainly grouped along an organizational scheme, the new model tags reports according to the energy topic(s) to which they belong. Electric Power Monthly

Jul 16, 2004

This report now shows tables that are separated into two main categories: Electric Power Sector (Electric Utilities and Independent Power Producers) and Combined Heat and Power Producers (Commercial and Industrial.) All data pertaining to these categories are presented together, thus providing an integrated view of the electric power industry. Additionally, the level of aggregation was also revised. The lowest level of aggregation is at the State level, with greater detail available in other Web products. Also, the publication provides rolling 12-month totals in the national overviews, as appropriate.
