Monthly Petroleum Time Series Data, by State -- an Update

EIA's Monthly Petroleum Product Time Series Data, by State, have been updated. On the EIA States page, click on the desired State on the US Map and then select the desired time series under Petroleum; Or, from the right column of the EIA States page you can go directly to the EIA Monthly Time Series Data for each State. Four sets of petroleum products time series have been updated: (1) Prices, (2) Sales -- Transportation Fuels, (3) Sales -- Other Fuels, (4)Stocks. The series start from January 1998 and go through October 2003. The data are extracted from the Oil and
Gas Information Resource System (OGIRS).

International Petroleum Monthly - December 2003

This report contains monthly world oil production data through October 2003 and monthly
OECD country oil demand, imports, and stocks data through September 2003. Also included
are international oil balance data for 1999-2003, annual oil data series for 1970-2002, and the Energy Market Chronology for November 2003.
Electric Power Monthly

The latest issue is now available
on EIA's
Electricity page. The publication was redesigned beginning
with the April 2003 issue to incorporate improved statistics
and provide more detailed data. This report now shows tables
that are separated into two main categories: Electric Power
Sector (Electric Utilities and Independent Power Producers)
and Combined Heat and Power Producers (Commercial and Industrial.)
All data pertaining to these categories are presented together,
thus providing an integrated view of the electric power industry.
Additionally, the level of aggregation was also revised. The
lowest level of aggregation is at the State level, with greater
detail available in other Web products. Also, the publication
provides rolling 12-month totals in the national overviews,
as appropriate. Appendix D describes the reasoning behind the
changes and their effect on electric power publications. View

Quarterly Coal Report

The Office of Coal, Nuclear, Electric and Alternate Fuels released
the Quarterly Coal Report containing data for the third quarter of 2003
on coal production, consumption, imports, exports and stocks.
Coal exports showed signs of a reversal with an increase in the third
quarter. Exports were 30 percent higher than the third quarter of 2002.
Coal production in 2003, however, continues to be less than 2002
production by 2.5 percent.
Annual Electric Power Industry Report

The final 2002 Form EIA-861, ¿Annual Electric Power
Industry Report¿ survey data files are presented in .dbf and
spreadsheet formats. They are now available on EIA¿s Electric
Database Files page. The data files include information for
the calendar year 2002 reporting period on approximately 3,300
electric utilities in the United States, the Dominion of Puerto
Rico, and the Territories of American Samoa, Guam and the Virgin
Islands. Data provided include operational data such as summer
and winter system peak, net generation, wholesale power purchases
and sales, retail sales, wholesale and retail electric revenues,
and demand-side management information.
Electric Sales and Revenue Spreadsheets

Spreadsheets are presented of retail sales information
collected on the Form EIA-861 survey (¿Annual Electric Power
Industry Report¿) for the calendar-year 2002 period, for each
retail electric service provider and distributor in the United
States, the Dominion of Puerto Rico, and the Territories of
American Samoa, Guam and the Virgin Islands. Information includes
retail customer counts, revenue, megawatthour sales, and average
revenue per kilowatthour (price), by consumer sector, and by
state, with utility ownership. These spreadsheets are designed
to replace the discontinued publication ¿Electric Sales and
Revenue 2000¿ and prior year publications.
