Mar 15, 2024 This spreadsheet contains detailed information on liquids (crude oil, petroleum products, and hydrocarbon gas liquids) pipeline projects. We do not collect the data on an EIA survey, but rather we compile the data from various sources including trade press, pipeline company websites, and government agencies. These data are not a forecast. They represent last-known public information on projects, as of December 31, 2023. The status of each project is categorized as completed (since 2010), announced, under construction, on hold, or canceled.
Mar 15, 2024 Annual state-level estimates of consumption, prices, and expenditures for distillate fuel oil and consumption for biodiesel and renewable diesel.
Mar 12, 2024 Global oil markets. As a result of OPEC+ extending crude oil production cuts, we have reduced our forecast for global oil production growth in 2024. The lower growth contributes to significant global oil inventory declines in our forecast for the second quarter of 2024 (2Q24). Because of falling inventories, we now expect the Brent crude oil spot price will average $88 per barrel (b) in 2Q24, up $4/b from our February STEO, and we expect the Brent price will average $87/b this year.
Mar 8, 2024 Annual state-level estimates of consumption, prices, and expenditures for residual fuel oil and kerosene.
Mar 7, 2024 This site contains spreadsheets with wholesale electricity and natural gas data from seven major trading hubs that cover most regions of the United States. The data are through March 5, 2024, republished, with permission, from the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).

Feb 29, 2024 In December 2023, dry natural gas production increased year over year for the month for the 32nd consecutive month. Preliminary dry natural gas production in December 2023 was 3,300 billion cubic feet (Bcf), or 106.5 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d). Production was 6.2% (6.2 Bcf/d) higher in December 2023 than in December 2022 (100.2 Bcf/d) and the highest for any month since 1973, when we began tracking dry natural gas production. Gross withdrawals also increased from December 2022
Feb 29, 2024 These monthly production estimates are based on data from Form EIA-914, Monthly Crude Oil, Lease Condensate, and Natural Gas Production Report.
Feb 29, 2024 Imports data at the company level collected from Form EIA-814, Monthly Imports Report.

Feb 29, 2024 Monthly data on rail movements of crude oil have been updated for December 2023. Crude oil movements by rail have significantly increased during the past five years. The data on crude-by-rail (CBR) movements are also fully integrated with EIA’s existing monthly petroleum supply statistics, which already include crude oil movements by pipeline, tanker, and barge.
Feb 28, 2024 ISO-New England (ISONE) earlier this month issued the results of its Forward Capacity Auction (FCA) #18, covering commitment period June 2027 to May 2028. Under FCA #18 ISONE secured resource commitments of 31,556 megawatts (MW), or nearly the same as the 31,370 MW cleared in FCA #17. About 2,000 MW less capacity cleared the past two auctions compared with the 33,956 MW cleared in FCA #14, which is the current commitment period of June 2023 to May 2024.
Feb 27, 2024 The Monthly Energy Review is our comprehensive report on recent and historical energy statistics. According to our February 2024 report, preliminary estimates indicate that U.S. total primary energy consumption equaled 7.9 quadrillion British thermal units in November 2023, a 1% increase from November 2022. Primary energy consumption in the electric power sector accounted for 32% of the total, the transportation sector for 29%, the industrial sector for 25%, the residential sector for 8%, and the commercial sector for 6%.
Feb 26, 2024 Data in the February 2024 Electric Power Monthly (EPM) are for December 2023, when net generation in the United States was decreased 3.8% from December 2022. Consumption of natural gas for power generation was up 2.6% compared with December 2022. The average residential retail price of electricity was up 5.3% from December 2022.

As U.S. crude oil and natural gas production have increased, so has the volume of production declines from existing wells. To offset the increasing declines, operators today must bring on new wells to sustain or increase production levels. More ›
