World LNG Imports by Origin, 2006

A table with country-level imports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) by country of origin for the year 2006 is now available. The table is also provided in Excel spreadsheet format. These tables for 2006, as well as tables for the years 1993-2005, are also available on the International Natural Gas Trade Page. Data in the 2004 and 2005 tables have just been revised and updated.

Monthly Flash Estimate (MFE)

The November, 2007 issue of the Monthly Flash Estimate (MFE) of Electric Power Data is now available on EIA's Electricity Publications page. MFE provides an early look at the highlights of the upcoming Electric Power Monthly publication and presents tables of electricity generation, fuel consumption for generation, fossil fuel stocks, and average retail sales and prices of electricity. MFE precedes the next issue of EPM by three weeks. The current issue covers an early review of the September, 2007 electricity data. Preliminary Analytical Tables 2000-2006

These 35 tables are advance copies of the tables that will appear as Appendix B in Performance Profiles of Major Energy Producers, 2006, which will be published in December 2007. The tables consist of aggregated financial and operating statistics of the major U.S.-based energy companies that report to the Energy Information Administration on the Financial Reporting System (FRS) EIA-28 survey.

The annual report provides information regarding sales, revenue, number of consumers, and average retail price by sector, Census Division and State for traditional electric utilities, non-utility power producers, power marketers and energy service providers. The data is provided in Excel file format. Figures are also provided for average retail price per kilowatthour by state and sector in html format.

The EIA web site showing the status of electricity restructuring by State has been updated to include recent events in the electric industry. This web site provides a State-by-State summary of pertinent electricity restructuring activities that have occurred since restructuring legislation was introduced for each respective State. The web site also provides links to State specific web sites. The web site is now available on EIA's Status of Electricity Restructuring by State Web Site.

Advance Summary U.S. Crude Oil, Natural Gas, and Natural Gas Liquids Reserves 2006 Annual Report

This is an advance summary of EIA's report on domestic proved reserves of crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids. It presents key data tables (sorted by fuel and by geographic location) and some highlights of petroleum industry activity that impacted oil and natural gas production and proved reserves in 2006. In an effort to address customer requests and improve the timeliness of our data, the 2006 Annual Coal Report will be released in two phases. Phase one will be the tables containing data on coal production, prices, reserves, employment, and productivity; these data/tables are available now on the website. Phase two will be the release, in the near future, of the report in its entirety.

Monthly Energy Review

EIA's primary report of recent energy statistics: total energy production, consumption, and trade; energy prices; overviews of petroleum, natural gas, coal, electricity, nuclear energy, renewable energy, and international petroleum; and data unit conversions. Preliminary statistics comparing the first three quarters of 2007 versus the first three quarters of 2006 show that U.S. crude oil production was up 1 percent; U.S. petroleum imports were down 3 percent; and U.S. petroleum products supplied, which is a measure of consumption, was up slightly. International Energy Annual 2005

The International Energy Annual 2005 is the Energy Information Administration's primary report of international energy statistics. Included are data on energy consumption and production; overviews of petroleum, natural gas, coal, and electricity, as well as carbon dioxide emissions from the use of fossil fuels, petroleum prices, energy reserves, and population; and data unit conversion tables. For many series, data cover the years 1980-2005. Also included is a World Energy Overview comparing 1995 and 2005.

U.S. natural gas storage levels remain above average through injection season ›

In our latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, we forecast U.S. working natural gas inventories will reach 3,872 billion cubic feet (Bcf) by the end of October, or 2% more than the previous five-year average for that time of year. Natural gas inventories grew quickly in late April through early June, with seven consecutive weeks of net injections to inventories exceeding 100 Bcf each for the first time since 2014. More
