The U.S. Energy Information Administration seeks technical advice semi-annually from the American Statistical Association Committee on Energy Statistics. The meetings are held in the spring and fall in Washington, D.C., and are announced in the Federal Register. These meetings are open to the public and are typically held on Thursday (all day) and Friday morning. Sessions are a combination of EIA briefings and technical discussions intended to solicit technical advice from the Committee members, who are primarily mathematical statisticians, survey statisticians, and energy analysts. The following transcripts and summaries are available: Note: You will need Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Reader or text file viewer to view the transcripts. These summaries include session titles, abstracts, summaries of the Committee's advice, and a summary of the intended response from EIA to the Committee's recommendations. Questions may be referred to Alethea Jennings, EIA' s Liaison with the ASA Committee on Energy Statistics, at (202) 586-5879 or by e-mail at alethea.jennings@eia.doe.gov. |
