1. EIA’s International Energy Outlook 2000 predicts that the global conventional oil production peak will occur after 2020, since production is still growing in 2020.

2. The IEO2000 projections were based on the 1994 USGS mean oil resource estimate, which is a little smaller than the 95 percent probable volume in the 2000 USGS assessment, but substantially larger than that used in the Campbell-Laherrere projections.
