Gasoline and Diesel Fuel Update Data Revision Notice

The Retail Gasoline Prices for May 21, 28, and June 4 included an error in the calculation of the average prices for New York City and New York State reformulated gasoline. EIA has corrected this error and provides a revision to the affected three weeks. This correction also resulted in minor increases to the PADD 1B, PADD 1, and US reformulated and all formulation gasoline averages for each grade. The affected publication cells include an increase in averages for the following:

  • All Grades - Reformulated Areas for New York City, NY State, PADD 1B, PADD 1, and US
  • Regular - Reformulated Areas for New York City, NY State, PADD 1B, PADD 1, and US
  • Midgrade - Reformulated Areas for New York City, NY State, PADD 1B, PADD 1, and US
  • Premium - Reformulated Areas for New York City, NY State, PADD 1B, PADD 1, and US
  • All Grades - All Formulation Areas for New York City, NY State, PADD 1B, PADD 1, and US
  • Regular - All Formulation Areas for New York City, NY State, PADD 1B, PADD 1, and US
  • Midgrade - All Formulation Areas for New York City, NY State, PADD 1B, PADD 1, and US
  • Premium - All Formulation Areas for New York City, NY State, PADD 1B, PADD 1, and US

Any values calculated from these revisions (including, but not limited to monthly averages) also have been revised.

The revised data will be released this week during the regular publication times for the following publications:

Gasoline and Diesel Fuel Update and Petroleum Data Tables pages will reflect the revised data today Monday June 18, 2012 by 5:00 pm.
Table 14 of the Weekly Petroleum Status Report will contain the revised data Wednesday June 20, 2012 after 1:00 pm.
This Week in Petroleum will contain the revised data Wednesday June 20, 2012 after 1:00 pm.
