FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MEDIA ADVISORY:
EIA leaders discuss Annual Energy Outlook 2023, projections for U.S. energy markets through 2050

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) will release its Annual Energy Outlook 2023 (AEO2023) at a virtual public event hosted by Resources for the Future (RFF). The AEO2023 models projections of domestic energy markets through 2050 to explore a variety of different assumptions about economic growth, world oil and natural gas prices, and technological innovation. This year’s projections take into account the effects of the Inflation Reduction Act.

The event will feature a presentation of key findings from EIA Administrator Joe DeCarolis and EIA Assistant Administrator for Energy Analysis Angelina LaRose. Following these presentations, RFF President and CEO Richard Newell will sit down with Dr. DeCarolis to explore the application of these findings and how these insights could inform decision-making in the year ahead.

Members of the press and general public can register to attend the event through the Resources for the Future website. You can also join the conversation on social media using #AEO2023.

More information about the Annual Energy Outlook is available at eia.gov.
