Highlights: July 2026

  • Texas (ERCOT) set a new all-time daily peak demand record of 91.1 GW on July 22nd, driven by a heat wave experienced across the region.

  • Net electricity generation in the United States increased 1.7% compared to July 2025.

  • Total U.S. coal stockpiles decreased by 8.0% to 109 million tons compared to the previous month.
