Highlights: May 2025

• Wholesale electricity price were at the lower end of their yearly range at most regional trading hubs in May 2025.

• Texas (ERCOT) and Progress Florida saw their daily peak demand levels reach the higher end of their yearly ranges, mainly due to warmer weather experienced in each region during the middle to latter half of May 2025.

• Total U.S. coal stockpiles increased by 3.0% to 120 million tons compared to the previous month.
