Sharing CIPSEA information

Currently, EIA accepts requests for access to CIPSEA data only from federal agencies authorized by law to receive this information. EIA does not yet have a platform to share CIPSEA data with researchers for statistical purposes. However, EIA is currently working to establish an onsite data sharing program for researchers at EIA’s headquarters in Washington, DC. |

The EIA Administrator or his or her designee has the sole discretionary authority within the agency to determine what information collected under CIPSEA will be available to share and is the final authority on deciding whether to approve requests to access CIPSEA-protected data. |
