About 73 percent of the alternative-fuel transit buses were compressed natural gas buses. Another 15 percent were liquefied natural gas buses. Propane buses comprised 6.5 percent of the total, electric buses about 4 percent, methanol buses 1 percent, and ethanol buses less than one percent.
