Analysis - Energy Sector Highlights

  • Norway was the third–largest exporter of natural gas in the world after Russia and Qatar in 2017.
  • In 2017, the petroleum and natural gas sector accounted for more than 40% of Norway’s export revenues and more than 15% of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP). [1]
