Energy4me
Energy4me is an energy education program presented by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). The program aims to provide factual, non-biased resources for students, teachers and the public to become more educated energy consumers.
The Energy4me program offers a global energy perspective with website, speaker programs, and educational tools sponsored by the Society of Petroleum enginees (SPE). Students of all grade levels can use www.energy4me.org as a single source for factual information on all types of energy. Interactive games and activities, coloring pages, information for school reports, science fair project ideas, scholarship and university information, and comprehensive information about energy careers are available online. Energy4me offers teachers (kindergarten through 12th grade)tools for teaching energy in the classroom in a fun, exciting way. The Energy4me Kit provides teaching aids, speaker resources, sample presentations, classroom activities/ hands-on experiments. This kit can be ordered through www.energy4me.org. Additional Energy4me teacher resources include educational curriculum, fun classroom activities/experiments, an 'Oil and Natural Gas' book, classroom presentations by SPE members, and teacher workshops at selected SPE conferences. Whether it is a news headline or frequently asked questions that draw the public, everyone is sure to find useful materials on energy4me.org. Get answers to important questions like 'how much oil is left', the role of alternative energy sources and how technology is helping protect the environment.
