Notes:
- The Midwest is a large propane demand region outside of the chemical sector. About 39% of households that use propane are in the Midwest.
- Inventories are an import source of winter supply in this region, filling almost 25% of demand during the winter -- higher even than heating oil in the Northeast, where inventories supply about 15% of demand.
- Net imports from Canada meet about 15% of winter propane needs in the Midwest,
- and the rest comes from production.
