New England & Mid-Atlantic Weekly Total Distillate Stocks Low

Notes:

• A more detailed look at PADD 1 total distillate stocks shows us that the largest volume of stocks are carried in the Mid-Atlantic region, where demand is highest.

• The large dots on the chart indicate stocks ending the third week in January for each year in order to compare with the current January 21 stock levels. While the Mid-Atlantic is quite low for January ( 22 million barrels), the graph shows that stocks can drop to below 15 million barrels. The New England area, however, is not only low for January, but for any time of year, at 5.5 million barrels.
