available at this time for residential gas customers in Rhode Island. In
2000, New England Gas Company became the sole local distribution company
in the State, with the acquisitions of the former Providence Energy
Corporation, Valley Resources, Inc. and Subsidiaries, and Fall River Gas
Company. The company offers supplier choice to business customers in Rhode
Island using at least 500 thousand cubic feet (Mcf) per year (which
includes some restaurants and laundromats). The company does offer
unbundled service to its residential customers in Massachusetts. |
