| EIA State Data: In 2004, Arizona had 993,885 residential and 56,186 commercial customers. They consumed 38 and 35 billion cubic feet of natural gas, respectively. The average prices paid for natural gas purchased from local distribution companies (LDCs) by residential and commercial customers were $12.16 and $8.50 per thousand cubic feet, respectively. In 2004, the two largest LDCs in the State, Southwest Gas Corporation with 82 percent of the residential customers and 71 percent of the commercial customers and Unisource Gas with 12 percent of the residential and 21 percent of the commercial business, provided 36 billion cubic feet of natural gas to residential consumers and 31 billion cubic feet to commercial customers. |
