1Municipal Solid Waste net generation is allocated according to the biogenic and non-biogenic components of the fuel; however, all Municipal Solid Waste summer capacity is classified as Renewable.
- = No data reported.
Notes: Totals may not equal sum of components due to independent rounding.
Other: Blast furnace gas, propane gas, other manufactured and waste gases derived from fossil fuels, non-biogenic municipal solid waste, batteries, chemicals, hydrogen, pitch, purchased steam, sulfur, tire-derived fuel, and miscellaneous technologies.
Other Renewable: Wood, black liquor, other wood waste, biogenic municipal solid waste, landfill gas, sludge waste, agriculture byproducts, other biomass, geothermal, solar thermal, photovoltaic energy, and wind.

Operator: Indiana Michigan Power Company

Location and Service Territory: The Cook facility is located in Bridgman, 11 miles south of St. Joseph, Michigan.

Construction Cost: $3.352 billion (2007 USD)2

Staffing: Approximately 900 employees

Reactor Descriptions: Both units at Cook are Westinghouse four-loop pressurized water reactors.

Cooling System: Located on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, the Cook plant relies on a once-through system for cooling.

Operator: Detroit Edison Company

Location and Service Territory: Named for the first physicist to initiate a controlled nuclear chain reaction, the Enrico Fermi plant is located on Lake Erie, near Detroit.

Construction Cost: $6.110 billion (2007 USD)2

Reactor Descriptions: The only licensed reactor at the plant is Fermi 2, a General Electric Type 4 boiling water reactor.

Cooling System: Fermi relies on natural draft cooling towers that draw water from Lake Erie.
