  RETAIL AND SERVICE BUILDINGS
Where are they located?

Buildings, Floorspace, Population by Region

In the Northeast and the South, the percent of retail and service buildings is the same the percent of the population located in those regions.  In the Midwest, the percent of retail and service buildings is greater than the percent of the population and in the West it is lower.

Retail and service buildings in the Northeast and South are larger, on average, than those located in the West and Midwest.
