Wholesale Market Data (12/16/2010) This site contains spreadsheets with wholesale electricity price data from ICE (IntercontinentalExchange) through December 10, 2010 (latest web site update: December 16, 2010). The files contain peak prices, volumes, and the number of transactions at six electricity trading hubs covering most regions of the United States.
Annual Electric Generator Report data files (12/09/2010) The 2009 data files with data collected on the Annual Electric Generator Report (EIA-860) are now available on EIA's Electricity page. The files include capacity and other characteristic data at the generator-level for power plants with 1 megawatt or greater of combined nameplate capacity. The files also include data on the associated boilers and environmental equipment for relevant generators. The data files have been revised to facilitate the ability of users to properly find and work with the data. For more information on the EIA-860, please follow this link: http://www.eia.gov/cneaf/electricity/page/eia860.html
The "Annual Electric Power Industry Report" data files (12/06/2010) The "Annual Electric Power Industry Report" data files have been posted on EIA's Electricity page. Data include retail and wholesale electricity sales, revenue, and price information as well as data on advanced metering, green pricing, net metering, mergers & acquisitions, and time- and incentive-based demand response programs from the 2009 Form EIA-861. The data geographic coverage is the 50 States, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Territories.
The “Coordinated Bulk Power Supply and Demand Report” (12/03/2010) The "Coordinated Bulk Power Supply and Demand Report" (Form EIA-411) data files are available on EIA's Electricity page. The Form EIA-411 collects information from the Nation's power system planners about the electricity supply, both capacity and energy, that is needed to serve current demand and for future growth. Data is presented by NERC region.
Cost and Quality of Fuels for Electric Plants Report (12/03/2010) The Cost and Quality of Fuels for Electric Plants Report has been released. This report contains final 2009 data concerning the quality, quantity, and cost of fossil fuels used by U.S. electric power generating plants for both electric power generation and, in the case of a combined heat and power plant, useful thermal output. These plants are comprised of regulated utility power plants and independent power producers, including combined heat and power producers in the commercial and industrial sectors.
