Great tool. Love its ease of use. Just ran a graph of crude and refined product prices. Left hand axis in $/gal and right in $/bbl except the conversion was at 50 gal/bbl instead of 42. Did I miss something?

I was giving the Beta website's graphing option a test drive and found what might be a small glitch. I selected Prices, Sales Volumes & Stocks by State, then selected "Area" = U.S., Motor Gasoline (Retail Outlets), and Prime Supplier Motor Gasoline. The resulting graph included the title "Prices, Sales Volumes & Stocks by State" even though I didn't select any Supply data. It looks like some sort of coding issue where the graph's title is automatically linked to the original data group rather than the actual data selected. Again, this seems to be a pretty small issue for something that looks like it's a really great tool for data users. I'm already a big fan of this new option!

The graphic feature sometimes does not work in Internet Explorer, but works fine with Firefox. For example, http://www.eia.gov/beta/dnav/pet/pet_pri_prop_a_EPLLPA_PTA_dpgal_a.htm.

The graphing libraries require an up-to-date browser, such as IE9 and above or a current version of Firefox, Chrome or Safari.

I like the way it is laid out. One picky, nice-to-have detail would be to link the individual definitions to the individual headings on the right. For example, when you see the number for "Alaskan Field Supply", you could click on "Alaskan Field supply" and see the definition in a small pop-up. This would be particularly useful to newcomers to the site.

Have RIC codes associated with the time series so that people can write macros to automatically pull the specific time series into excel and have the ability to define the time period and frequency of the data. The Federal Reserve of St. Louis (FRED) started doing it - take a look if you need ideas or further direction.

The only method that worked to get a copy I could use in other applications was through pdf, which produced a grainy image when pasted. A seamless copy/paste routine (without opening another application) as with the old format would be nice. Otherwise fantastic!

Small bug when you have a graph and it puts the data titles into two columns, its fine in the image on the site but if you save the image the titles overlap slightly see by selecting the first 5 on this page http://www.eia.gov/beta/dnav/pet/pet_sum_sndw_dcus_nus_w.htm and saving as image

This problem occurs because the downloadable images are currently created on a Linux server that does not have Windows fonts.  We are working to correct this and will report back here when the fix is in place.

The new format does not appear to provide information. Why not lead with an interactive graphic that supports user-driven exploration of the data: graphic to drill down to data in xlsx or pdf.

This looks user friendly. Great Job. Just one question. It would be nice to specify what year you want the dollars to be in to account for inflation. For example, if you had a chart of Natural Gas prices, it would be nice to show the price in 2005 dollars. You did a great job on this site, and I am looking forward to the go live date.

Thanks.  We use the free jQuery open-source library and Highcharts, an excellent low-cost graphing library, to render the charts in your browser.  We are just scratching the surface of possibilities.  Note that these graphs run fastest in a current web browser, such as Internet Explorer 9, Google Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.
