Very nice. A couple of comments. It would be good to have the option of seeing vertical lines in the graph. Also while "resetting the zoom" is an usefull option a more granular "undo" option would be more helpful.
03/02/2012 - New York, United States
Finally - A great interactive webite with formatted and readable date. Great Job!!!
03/01/2012 - Brazil
eia Beta became better than before. It is full, complete. The information is easy to handle, prompt and beautifull. I'm a petroleum student and eia Beta is now, my way to go ahead...Thanks. Caio

Great tool. Love its ease of use. Just ran a graph of crude and refined product prices. Left hand axis in $/gal and right in $/bbl except the conversion was at 50 gal/bbl instead of 42. Did I miss something?
02/29/2012 - District of Columbia, United States
I was giving the Beta website's graphing option a test drive and found what might be a small glitch. I selected Prices, Sales Volumes & Stocks by State, then selected "Area" = U.S., Motor Gasoline (Retail Outlets), and Prime Supplier Motor Gasoline. The resulting graph included the title "Prices, Sales Volumes & Stocks by State" even though I didn't select any Supply data. It looks like some sort of coding issue where the graph's title is automatically linked to the original data group rather than the actual data selected. Again, this seems to be a pretty small issue for something that looks like it's a really great tool for data users. I'm already a big fan of this new option!
02/28/2012 - United States
The graphic feature sometimes does not work in Internet Explorer, but works fine with Firefox. For example, http://www.eia.gov/beta/dnav/pet/pet_pri_prop_a_EPLLPA_PTA_dpgal_a.htm.
02/27/2012 - Iowa, United States
This exactly what i have been looking for in a tool. the current version is a bit hard to update on a monthly bases. Thx... KF
02/25/2012 - New Mexico, United States
On the charts it would be helpful if you showed vertical lines for each year listed on the x axes -- could show a tick mark for each year. The Beta is a nice improvement for your site.
02/24/2012 - New York, United States
Charts are great. They'd be EXCELLENT if there was a way to overlay five-year averages when pulling up historical charts on stocks/prices/etc.
02/24/2012 - Florida, United States
Very good tool
02/23/2012 - Michigan, United States
I like the new site a lot, especially with all the data links.
02/16/2012 - Maryland, United States
I like the way it is laid out. One picky, nice-to-have detail would be to link the individual definitions to the individual headings on the right. For example, when you see the number for "Alaskan Field Supply", you could click on "Alaskan Field supply" and see the definition in a small pop-up. This would be particularly useful to newcomers to the site.
02/16/2012 - Texas, United States
Clicking "Expand All" just above the accordion boxes on the 'Data' tab sent me to a page with a 403 error. Also, I second the recommendation of providing an API. Thanks!
02/16/2012 - France
As already suggested, being abble to choose the begining date of a graph would be great. But already thank you for the graph option.
02/15/2012 - California, United States
Looks good
02/14/2012 - Connecticut, United States
Please consider creating a web service / API to allow data to be pulled into any application (not everyone wants excel). The St Louis Fed has done a fantastic job of this and would be a great example
02/14/2012 - New Hampshire, United States
On your weekly inputs and utilization page, it would be helpful if you could select what PADDs (multiple) if you wanted to compare crude oil inputs for each region and not look at just one region at a time.
02/14/2012 - New Hampshire, United States
Have RIC codes associated with the time series so that people can write macros to automatically pull the specific time series into excel and have the ability to define the time period and frequency of the data. The Federal Reserve of St. Louis (FRED) started doing it - take a look if you need ideas or further direction.
02/13/2012 - Georgia, United States
I use your site multiple times every week for my profession and find it very valuable. The additions in this beta version are great! Thanks.
02/13/2012 - Illinois, United States
This will save me time when I chart data for my client in the trucking industries. It's a huge time saver! My only question in the beta is there a way to break apart the RSS feed of the fuel pricing to ease the complex fuel tables small business have to do manually?
02/13/2012 - North Carolina, United States
Need world crude oil prices weekly for major crudes (like Nigerian Bonny Light) and monthly liquid fuels consumption in order to understand oil price/volume trends. Thanks.
02/13/2012 - Texas, United States
The only method that worked to get a copy I could use in other applications was through pdf, which produced a grainy image when pasted. A seamless copy/paste routine (without opening another application) as with the old format would be nice. Otherwise fantastic!
02/12/2012 - Texas, United States
Additional units would be helpful. For example, in addition to kbd, millions of gallons/year (assuming 365 days/year) would be most helpful, as would million gallons in addition to k bbl
02/10/2012 - District of Columbia, United States
Small bug when you have a graph and it puts the data titles into two columns, its fine in the image on the site but if you save the image the titles overlap slightly see by selecting the first 5 on this page http://www.eia.gov/beta/dnav/pet/pet_sum_sndw_dcus_nus_w.htm and saving as image
02/10/2012 - District of Columbia, United States
I really like the graphs tool 1 Suggestion, could you make there be an option in graphing where you can type in the exact dates you want instead of dragging to zoom, like you can do in google! Finance.
02/10/2012 - Washington, United States
Thank you for this resource, I hope we will use it soon,
02/10/2012 - North Carolina, United States
The new format does not appear to provide information. Why not lead with an interactive graphic that supports user-driven exploration of the data: graphic to drill down to data in xlsx or pdf.
02/10/2012 - Cayman Islands
It is not clear to me how to get the on the fly data. I did not see the graph button option. Is it limit to certain data or areas?
02/10/2012 - Florida, United States
This looks user friendly. Great Job. Just one question. It would be nice to specify what year you want the dollars to be in to account for inflation. For example, if you had a chart of Natural Gas prices, it would be nice to show the price in 2005 dollars. You did a great job on this site, and I am looking forward to the go live date.
02/09/2012 - Virginia, United States
Fancy graphing! Big upgrade from your other stuff. How did you make it work?
